Slow to Act, a poem

The USA said “no“ to the ghettos and camps

in Germany.

We sanctioned and sent aid during

South Africa’s apartheid.

But when its our allies who are filthy,

our allies who are guilty,

we let it slide.

We let genocide.

Historically we’ve been slow to act, but this time its been 75 years.

The average age in Gaza isn’t even legal to have an American Beer.

If Canada made us craterous pit, cut off food, water, electricity,

and deprive us from hospital supply; would we ignore

the murdered children and peacefully lie?
